Thursday, July 14- After each of the boys scooped up a little bit of dirt from our home field at Medlock into a bag, we pulled out of Decatur just after 8:00. Five cars full of Thunder and baseball gear and box fans were headed to Lynchburg, Va. for a minor league baseball game. We stopped at the famous Lexington BBQ for lunch and everyone seemed pleased. North Carolina Style Q at its finest. I had the chopped pork sandwich with slaw, barbeque beans and onion rings. Oh and plenty of SWEET tea with lemon. Delicious. 441 miles logged today. We checked in to our hotel and the boys went right for the pool. The Lynchburg Hillcats stadium is only 2.7 miles away. It is Harry Potter night, local contractors night AND local credit union night at Calvin Falwell Field. Go Hillcats!
